There’s nothing wrong in investing in something that will make our life a lot easier.

I have 4 henesy hammocks. Built in netting is fantastic. We loved sleeping in them. larger rain fly is free if you ask. Multiple sizes and models to suit your needs as well.

I also used the Enlightened Equipment Revelation Quilt with the Revolt Underquilt. Both rated for 20° F. I also used the Bear Butt Kodiak Straps, (2) 120”, 1” wide straps with 20 loops each. A great combination for a bike tour. Along the coast it was in the upper 40’s to misd 50’s all the time. The Enlightened Equipment quilt and underquilt came in very handy. Highly recommended. I have quick question on Hammock.
Do you think Hennessy Snake Skin can be used to other hammock?
Do you think it will work on Grand Trunk with Mosquito net?

Mosquito net is crucial item for me and I want to sleep with my son i need extra weight.
I did some research and have these two finals.

-Grand Trunk Skeeter Beeter Pro Hammock ($90) + rain trap ($100)
-HENNESSY EXPLORER DELUXE ASYMMETRICAL ZIP HAMMOCK ($290)

What would be your recommendation?

Thank you.

My favorite one was the “Hennessy Expedition ASYM”. Perhaps next time my husband and I go camping, we could get two of them!

I’m also a huge fan of the Hennessy Expedition Asym. Every time I try a different hammock I feel like something is missing.
What rainfly do you use? I wish mine would be a bit bigger for those rainy and windy days.

After buying the Hennessy Hammock Expedition Asym, i knew this was the one. Easy set up and take down. Bought the snake skins to put over my hammock and spare rainfly. keeping warm durning cold months i purchased a -20 degree mummy bag $65.00 to sleep in and a cheap sleeping bag $35.00 and modified it to fit under-neight as a under quilt. One end had a draw string and put one one the other end to draw up snug and place four small bungie straps off each conner to hold in place. works great. Coldest i have slept in was -15 deg.

I’ve been seeing these all over too. Looks great from amazon, but not a ton of reviews online. I’m also curious!

Hey leslie,
I wouldn’t recommend a double-hammock for long trips. A night or two is fine, but for longer hikes I would bring a tent or two hammocks.
