If you are going to do an overnight hike on Wonderland you need a permit for either a campsite or a cross-country zone. But, it is possible to do a Wonderland hike without make campsite reservations in advance. Day hikes do not require a permit.

Washington is a great place to visit. In addition to Mount Rainier, it has two other great parks to go hiking in.

Preikestolen is on my list. Pictures rarely does places justice. I will get there eventually.

I would highly recommend heading to Norway completing a sunrise hike to Preikestolen (the Pulpit Rock)!! The weather in Norway is a bit hit and miss however we were fortunate enough to go twice (as we’re in London and quite close!) and had the most amazing experience – I have a few pictures (which is great but doesn’t do it justice) on my blog if you want to check it out!!

I like the goal of visiting all your state parks. Washington has so many great parks at all levels. The great things out Indian Bar it is possible to visit it as a long day hike or overnight from the Box Canyon trailhead.

I’ve been dying to go to Mount Rainer, as my partner lives in Washington state and we’ve just started our attempt to visit all the state parks. We just did Lake Diablo, which was beautiful but I definitely want to check out Indian Bar!
